A portable game is a PC game that you carry around with you on a portable device, such as a flash drive or external hard drive.
Example : You can play at work or at school on your desktop or laptop.
They tend to work on certain operating systems,
and sometimes will work on 1 computer, but not on another computer

StarCraft is a military science fiction real-time strategy video game by Blizzard Entertainment and the first product in the StarCraft series. It was initially released for Microsoft Windows in 1998. A Mac OS version of the game was released in 1999, and a port to the Nintendo 64 was released in 2000. The main storyline follows a war among three galactic species: the adaptable and mobile Terrans, who are descendants of Human outcasts from Earth; the hive mind arthropodal Zerg; and the psionic humanoid Protoss warriors.
StarCraft was the best-selling computer game in 1998[1] and won the Origins Award for Best Strategy Computer Game of that year.[2] StarCraft was listed on IGN's "Top 100 Games of All Time" featured as seventh, and in 2006 received a Star on the Walk of Game at Metreon, San Francisco. It is especially popular in South Korea, where professional players and teams participate in matches, earn sponsorships, and compete in televised tournaments.[3] As of May 21, 2007, StarCraft has sold 9.5 million copies worldwide,[4][5] with 4.5 million of those copies being sold in South Korea.[4] Blizzard initially intended to continue the story with the tactical shooter StarCraft: Ghost, which was later put on hold indefinitely. The sequel, StarCraft II, was announced on May 19, 2007 in Seoul, South Korea.
StarCraft: Brood War is an expansion pack for the award winning military science fiction real-time strategy video game StarCraft. Released in 1998 for the Windows and Mac OS, it was co-developed by Saffire and Blizzard Entertainment. The expansion pack introduced new campaigns with new map tilesets and new music, in addition to a number of extra units for each race along with several upgrade advancements. The campaigns continue the story from where the original StarCraft ended,[1] with the sequel StarCraft II continuing from after the conclusion of Brood War. The expansion was released for the PC and Mac OS in the USA on 30 November 1998.[2]
The expansion was critically well-received, with many reviewers praising it for being developed with the care of a full game rather than as an uninspired extra.[3][4][5] As of May 31, 2007, StarCraft and Brood War combined have sold almost ten million copies.[6]
It is especially popular in South Korea, where professional players and teams participate in matches, earn sponsorships, and compete in televised matches.[7]

Known Issue(s)

Booting up the game will take a couple of minutes. On XP it might hang up on a
black screen and crash, and on Vista it will hang up on a white screen and crash.
If it happens on XP then just try again, don't press anything, and wait a couple
minutes. It's just loading the videos. Same thing with Vista, except if an error
comes up just click the option to wait. In a few minutes everything will work
fine.
The same thing will occur when loading the Premium Modules. Just do the same
as above. The campaigns will load without delay though. I'm looking for a way to
hasten these load times, but they're not long enough to worry about.
The rest of the game should work fine.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War is, quite obviously, set in the highly detailed Warhammer 40k universe. This isn�t Warhammer�s first entry on the PC, but it�s certainly the first real-time version. Unlike real-time RPG conversions such as Baldur�s Gate, Dawn of War doesn�t try to directly transfer the combat system from the tabletop wargame. Instead, the developers � Relic Entertainment of Homeworld fame � have put in a more standard system with hitpoints and damage ratings, and abstracted hits and misses.
This edition of Portable DOW contains all of the original campaign which is completely playable and also all of the original multiplayer features. After a lot of tinkering the game goes down from 4gb to 1.5gb, this means it can fit on any memory stick 2gb or more.
This is ideal for playing at school or at work as it doenst use too much of the network which means lots of people can be playing at the same time.
Using our launcher the game is opened in a window at a hideable size so you can easily alt+tab out if anyone catches you.

Known Issue(s)

Booting up the game will take a couple of minutes. On XP it might hang up on a
black screen and crash, and on Vista it will hang up on a white screen and crash.
If it happens on XP then just try again, don't press anything, and wait a couple
minutes. It's just loading the videos. Same thing with Vista, except if an error
comes up just click the option to wait. In a few minutes everything will work
fine.
The same thing will occur when loading the Premium Modules. Just do the same
as above. The campaigns will load without delay though. I'm looking for a way to
hasten these load times, but they're not long enough to worry about.
The rest of the game should work fine.

This is ideal for playing at school or at work as it doenst use too much of the network which means lots of people can be playing at the same time.
Using our launcher the game is opened in a window at a hideable size so you can easily alt+tab out if anyone catches you.

Thirty new scenarios, including desert, arctic, and medieval castle themes, challenge players with unique terrain and new scenario objectives. Several real amusement parks from England have also been included to see if players can handle the real thing.
